First off, I hope all of you had a wonderful Memorial Day and that you were able to spend it with friends, food, & good weather! I had planned on resuming more normal posts today, but just organizing all the photos from the trip and trying to remember what I ordered where in what city has proven to be a daunting task. Throw in the need for groceries, laundry, and some pretty decent jet-lag, and I’ve been less than productive since returning late Sunday night. So needless to say I have no new exciting recipes to share just yet… (I’ve largely eaten what I’ve ordered off of Seamless the past 24 hours). Instead, I decided to share some of my favorite shots from the trip while I recover and get my life a bit more organized.
The trip was simply amazing. It was one of those adventures I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I really wanted to experience new cultures, new foods, & see sights that even photographs can’t do justice. Mission accomplished. It’s hard to narrow down all of my favorites about the trip. After the hiccup of some serious flight delays and luggage lost for a few days, the rest of the trip went pretty perfectly.
I really feel like many of the photos I captured don’t adequately capture the magnitude of the sights seen, or the beauty of the sites. But I hope that at least some of them give you a window into small part of the world you may or may not have discovered just yet.
So as not to completely inundate all of you for the next month on nothing but travel posts, I’ve decided to start a series of Travel Tuesday posts where I’ll feature the food, excursions, & sites of the adventure until I run out of posts. Between eats & scenes, it might take a while. But I hope you’ll enjoy and I’ll try to keep them as interesting as possible!
