Happy Birthday Puppeh

I just simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share photos of the cutest pup in the world when she was even tinier and fluffier than she is now. It’s little miss Madison’s 7th birthday today! I can’t believe that it’s been almost 7 years that I’ve had this little munchkin (I got her as soon as she was weaned).

She was so small I used to sneak her into restaurants because I didn’t want her to be home alone. She’d sit under the table in my purse and never make a sound – no one ever even knew she was there! And when she first came home with me, she had to take medicine and it smelled like chocolate. So here was this little poofball who was snuggly and smelled like chocolate – as if you didn’t already want to just eat her up!

If she could talk, oh the stories she would tell. Thankfully, she hasn’t developed her English skills or I’d be in real trouble. She’s been there for me through so many tears –  breakups and job stress and roommate drama – and so many smiles – road trips and park walks and cozy nights just cuddled on the couch.  And even if I don’t feel like laughing, she’ll do something goofy (like try to hide her bone in the clean laundry pile) and I just can’t help myself.  I don’t know what I’d do without this little furry face. So today’s post goes out to my littlest friend. If you have a dog, you totally understand.

isn't she cute?

and now.

    • Thank you! And she’s the sweetest little thing too. I swear, it’s a good thing I like to take photos of my food…because otherwise the entire blog would be dog pictures. 🙂
